Third Division soldiers on pass in Nancy, France, admire Stanislas, the last Duke of Lorraine, father-in-law to Louis XIV and Polish exile credited with the rebuilding of Nancy in the 18th Century. After its extended Watch on the Rhine in the area of Neuf Brisach since Feb. 10, the Third Division was transferred to the vicinity of Nancy on Feb. 18-19.
