Still assigned to the Seventh Army in post-war Europe, the well-signed Third Signal Co. headquarters is based in Bad Wildungen, Germany in July 1945 along with the Division HQ, the 10th Engineers, the Third Recon and the 15th Regiment in an occupation area covering 5,500 square miles. After a return to the U.S. in late 1946, the Third Division hiked to Korea in 1950 then returned to Germany for occupation duty in 1958 through the Cold War.
